FAQ’s

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) is a well-known lithium technology in Australia due to its wide use and suitability to a wide range of applications.
Characteristics of low price, high safety and good specific energy, make this a strong option for many applications.

LiFePO4 cell voltage of 3.2V/cell also makes it the lithium technology of choice for sealed lead acid replacement in a number of key applications.

Introduced in the early 1990s, the modern prismatic cell satisfies the demand for thinner sizes. Wrapped in elegant packages resembling a box of chewing gum or a small chocolate bar, prismatic cells make optimal use of space by using the layered approach. Other designs are wound and flattened into a pseudo-prismatic jelly roll. These cells are predominantly found in mobile phones, tablets and low-profile laptops ranging from 800mAh to 4,000mAh. No universal format exists and each manufacturer designs its own.

Prismatic cells are also available in large formats. Packaged in welded aluminium housings, the cells deliver capacities of 20–50Ah and are primarily used for electric powertrains in hybrid and electric vehicles.

battery management system (BMS) is any electronic system that manages a rechargeable battery (cell or battery pack), such as by protecting the battery from operating outside its safe operating area, monitoring its state, calculating secondary data, reporting that data, controlling its environment, authenticating it and / or balancing it.

A battery pack built together with a battery management system with an external communication data bus (Bluetooth) is a smart battery pack.

Our Invicta range monitors Voltage, Amperage, State of Charge, State of health, temperature and control the safety operations High /Low Voltage, High / low Current, High / low temperature, Short Circuit.

first thing you will need is the batteries Specification sheet that you can find on our Website by Clicking on the part numbers. Once you have this we are looking for the Maximum Discharge Current on one of our popular battery sizes SNL12V125BT this is 100 AMP. Below is the formally to work out the maximum wattage inverter you can use for this battery.

Power (Watts) = 12.8V (Volts) x 100A (max cont. discharge) = 1280W

Yes as long as its not up side down.

Yes, however care must be taken to ensure the battery is mounted away from heat sources which may be unavoidable in some vehicles. To ensure that your Invicta battery will be covered by our three years under bonnet warranty, please contact us at Invictalithium.com.au or 1300 001 772.

Yes as long as the output of the solar Regulator are set to match charging profiles of Lithium. Charging parameters can be found on the Specification Sheets.

Yes but with limitations our BT models can be put into system of up to 4x in Parallel (keeps system at same voltage 4x 12V = 12V. Our S models can be put into either up to 4x series or up to 4x in Parallel.

Parallel = Keeps system at same voltage but multiplies your Amp hour 4x 12V100 amp = 12V400Amp Hour Bank

Series = Keeps systems Amp hour the same but multiplies your Voltage 4x 12V = 48V 100Amp Hour bank

A very hard Question to answer Simply. Due to every system and customer using it differently there is no single answer. What we can do is give an expected life based on some known values.

Invicta lithium has a 5000Cycle life at a 50% Depth of Discharge matching this to a top-quality AGM of 450 -500 cycles at a 50% Depth of Discharge

If we are matching at 80% Depth of Discharge this is where the Lithium battery really stands out. Invicta Lithium can do more than 2000 Cycles at 80% Depth of Discharge. Matching this again to a Top-Quality AGM 30 -70 Cycles at 80% Depth of Discharge.

We know have proven this life span on our invicta battery range by doing real world testing down to 90% depth of discharge
